Susan Estes is a self-taught artist, working in pencil, charcoal, acrylics, and oils, primarily landscapes and animals, and specializing in equine art. Susan has participated in juried shows, one-person exhibits, and does commissioned works. Purchases of her art are in private collections in Maine, Arizona, Florida, New York, and Kentucky. An equestrian woman since childhood, she has worked as Ringmaster in several horse shows. Susan is a freelance writer of fiction and nonfiction, and a correspondent/columnist for the Highland Journal, a weekly publication covering central Maine. She lives with her husband, Ivan.
